Charlotte Collier - Alto

Biography

After qualifying as a lawyer Charlotte decided to pursue a career in singing; she trained privately with Ameral Gunson and then did her postgraduate diploma at Trinity College of Music where she studied with Hazel Wood. A further postgraduate diploma in the Performance of Opera was obtained from University of London.

With a true contralto voice, Charlotte is an accomplished recitalist and concert performer. Recent appearances include Stabat Mater Pergolesi(Wimborne Music Society);Messiah Handel (Guildford Opera and others) Requiem Mozart (English Arts Chorale and others) Petite Messe Solonelle Rossini (London Lawyers Symphony Orchestra and Chorus and others) Charlotte has also taken her ensemble Absolutely Opera! all over the world performing for Swan Hellenic on their ship Minerva 2

Last year Charlotte sang with Scottish Opera in their performances of Carmen and Der Rosenkavalier. Currently she is singing throughout the UK with Carl Rosa Opera for their Autumn Tour in performances of Yeoman of the Guard, Iolanthe and Patience.
