
Adam Binks is a producer, engineer, editor and musicologist. Originally from West Yorkshire, he has degrees in music from the Universities of Wales & Edinburgh.
Adam has wide experience working in music production, with a constantly expanding portfolio that ranges from recording classical music and spoken word to webcasting and midi sequencing. Adam founded Classical Record Productions (www.classicalrecordproductions.co.uk) in 2004 providing high quality music production services.

Classical Record Productions (CR Productions) specialises in the location recording of classical and other groups and individuals, in both studio and live conditions. Services are offered in all aspects of record production from producing, editing and engineering to booklet note writing and services for commercial, television, radio, film and audio books, as well as webcasting, and video projection. CR Productions has played an integral role in a significant number of important releases for independent record labels, garnering much critical acclaim, including a number of 'Editor's Choices' and five-star reviews in both national and specialist music press.
CR Productions has also worked on a wide number of important premiere recordings of works by contemporary composers, as well as a number of rediscovered or neglected works. Premiere recordings have included works by contemporary composers such as Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, Tarik O'Regan, Kenneth Leighton, Mark-Anthony Turnage, Giles Swayne, Howard Skempton, Haflidi Hallgrimsson, Naji Hakim, Gabriel Jackson, Francis Jackson, Eddie McGuire, Edward Harper, Rory Boyle, John Maxwell Geddes & Philip Wilby. Of neglected and rediscovered works CR Productions has been involved in recording works by Michael Wise, William Turner, C. Hubert H. Parry, Walter Parratt and William Russell.
Adam is also highly active as a musicologist and has written about a wide variety of music for, among others, Chandos Records, Naxos Records, Delphian Records, Signum Records and Linn Records as well as Scottish Opera, Longborough Festival Opera and the Orgelpark in Amsterdam. He is currently writing the first biography of the composer Kenneth Leighton.
