
Edward was born in Liverpool,and studied singing with Jean Gordon Brown at Sandown College of Performing Arts.Edward's first role was the role of Hercules in a 'modern day premier' of John Stanley's 'The Choice of Hercules'. Edward soon realised that opera was his choice of career.Edward was also honoured and privileged to have known and also studied conducting and music with eminent maestro Sir Charles Groves.
After graduating at the SCPA,Edward won a place at the Royal College of Music postgraduate course studying voice with Edward Brooks,and, in his first year winning an Exhibitioner Scholarship and already invited to sing roles for the the RCM opera school.Edward also studied repertoire with the eminent pianist/accompanist Robert Sutherland. A year later and Edward won a place in the RCM opera school singing roles such as Papageno (Magic Flute),and Pandolfe (Cendrillon/Massanet), going on to win the Opera Scholarship,and further roles such as Eugene Onegin (role),and in world premier works by composers Odaline Di La Martinez (Sister Aimee/Pastor Goben),and Paul Max Edlin (The Fisherman/Merchant).
Edward has sung with ENO,Wexford International Opera Festival,Covent Garden,Covent Garden Festival,London International Opera Festival,English Bach Festival.Edward also sang with the LSO and Michael Tilson Thomas in a live Radio 3 broadcast performance of Rimsky Korsakov's vast opera 'Mlada' playing the Varangrian. Masterclasses have included Sir Thomas Allen (La Boheme/Marcello),Senja Jurinac (Figaro/Figaro),Graham Clarke (Rigoletto/Rigoletto),and most recently Jose Cura (Don Carlos/Philip11),and Rosa Mannion (Don Giovanni/Don Giovanni).Edward has also recently studied singing with International Helden-tenor Jeffrey Lawton.

Future roles include Sir Hudson Lowe in a brand new musical by writer Stephen M.Hunt called 'The Person Residing At Longwood', about the final days of Napoleon. Concert performances include Verdi Requiem with Cleveland Philharmonic Chorus,Stanford 'Songs Of The Sea', and Elgar Coronation Ode with Hoylake Choral Society. Recitals at Buxton Festival Fringe with accompanist/pianist Tim Mottershead (where Edward has been nominated for two awards).A Grand Opera Gala with tenor Paul Charles Clarke and 'Cardiff Singer of the World' accompanist/pianist Ingrid Surganor,organised by Liverpool Opera Circle, and at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in Damon Albarn's new opera: Monkey, Journey To The West.Future performances include 'Elijah' with the Orpington Chorale, an Opera Gala at Liverpool Palm House,and his American debut at an opera gala at Fairfax,Washington DC in September 2010.
